The Gallery section of our website keeps growing thanks to the valuable contribution of everyone who shares with us the most beautiful moments of our band’s life. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the users who, through their photos, help us build the collective memory of our musical events.
In recent days the folder has been enriched with new photographs taken during the charity concert held on June 13th, an evening that once again showed how music can bring the community together around important causes.
But the real news — the one that makes us particularly proud — is another one: the full recording of the performance that the Filarmonica gave at the XIV International Band Competition of Friuli Venezia Giulia, held in Bertiolo from May 24th to 26th, 2024, where our band won second prize in its category, has now been uploaded.
It was a truly special experience, lived with great intensity by all the musicians, who, under the attentive and passionate guidance of conductor Dose, worked with dedication and team spirit to be ready for this important event. The steady commitment shown during the weeks of preparation, the attention to detail, and the passion shared by every member of the ensemble led to a result that will stay with us for a long time: not just an official award, but above all proof of what a close-knit group can achieve when working toward a common goal.
In the dedicated folder you will find the recordings of the two pieces performed at the competition.
The first is the set piece Golden Suite by Lorenzo Pusceddu, a work that tells the story of the Val di Non and its landscapes: the ancient Regiai road, once walked by those leaving their homeland in search of fortune, the terraced Groppello vineyards that re-emerge when the waters of Lake Santa Giustina recede in spring, and Mount Ozolo, a majestic and almost sacred presence that has always watched over the fertile Anaunia valley. A composition that weaves together memory, landscape, and rural tradition into a richly evocative musical fresco.
The second, chosen by the band, is Frost Rhapsody by Federico Agnello, written for the Corpo Bandistico di Andalo, which takes us through the magical atmospheres of the mountains: from the steep, demanding paths to the grand view from above, before giving way to the arrival of “Frost,” the legendary figure of ice and cold, evoked by a delicate flute solo. The snow gently settling, the mountain in all its snow-covered majesty, and finally the games and winter sports bring the piece to a lively, engaging finale.
We invite you to visit the Gallery to relive these emotions with us, listen to the performance, and, if you wish, keep enriching it with your own photos and memories.
